I’m struggling with the idea of a holey Bible….one full of holes….one where pastors pick to leave out whole verses.
These seem to pop up around the chosen verses, both before and after.
Here is an example…3 times Jesus mentions…”Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

I wonder if The Bible miniseries will touch on real depth of sin and atonement? Or just teach change for the better and leave sin and its penalty out.
I also wonder how much of the lessons on the New Testament will be focused on the Gospels versus I saw they were going to mention Paul’s conversion so that he can be a messenger change, heard that from the previews.

Curious phrase. “who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

The keys.. Maybe Peter did get the keys to the door of Heaven but Jesus kept those to hell and death.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Remember that the church is built on the rock of Jesus the rock of salvation not on the small rock Peter.
