Mark 10
King James Version (KJV)

This is a long chapter so I won’t quote it directly here but you can read it on your own.
When I find interesting about the passage is those verses which are hard to accept. Those you would wish to ignore or to leave out of Bible.

Pick your favorite. Jesus defining marriage, working your way into heaven, taking a position of prestige, or getting your sight.

26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Hebrews 6
King James Version (KJV)
6 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

John Gil clarifies the Jewish rites behind these which makes sense in light of Christ’s fulfillment.

Revelation 2
King James Version (KJV)

It may be worthwhile to read these two chapters looking at each of these churches to see both the things they have done right and the ways that they were falling by the wayside.

Proverbs 26
King James Version (KJV)

24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

Pro 6:16    These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17    A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18    An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19    A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Isaiah 55
King James Version (KJV)

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
