Mike packed a lot in here. In the OT, looking back to even to Cain and Abel, Aaron and the Golden calf, and the high places and groves various Kings set up, we see man’s ways of worshiping God.
Exodus 32:4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Probably the best example of trying to worship the True God (gods) I.e. truly the one bringing them out of Egypt, in the wrong way!
The Five points you summarize are so true today.
I’ve read that surveys say only around 4-6% of evangelicals actually have a Biblical Worldview. That’s a very small portion of the general population.
As you encourage, that comes by running the race with endurance.
”That means immersing self in the Word of God. Read it. Study it. Listen to godly preaching. Read godly books. Never stop learning about God and this walk.”
”Open the Bible and study it. Do not lightly read it. Study it. Pray about everything. Keep your eyes firmly fixed on the Saviour. Worship Him and pray for others. Do not give your flesh an opportunity. This is how we run this race. Endurance or patience is required, and those come to those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit.”
