I don’t have the followers that Mike does or his years of posting to the sites he mentions. I do have similar experiences…though I spend more time involved with the things he mentions that have influenced the Visible Church. These include: The Rick Warren & Ortberg teachings, those of Alpha and Spiritual Formation CSM. Thankful, God made me uncomfortable with these areas about 25-30 years ago and I was drawn towards Historical Reformed Protestant Doctrine, the Bible (I now use the KJV, for various reasons), and the Summaries of the Faith found in the great Westminster and Reformed Confessions and Catechisms….all of which I have read and studied.
I do struggle with being an effective personal witness of these things. But over the years I have found a number of sites like Mike’s that are more effective at sharing the concerns in the Visible Church sectors. Hopefully those I share or repost here are useful to anyone who drops by to read them.
