Catch of the Week, Faith and Christianity, The Book of Revelation

The Unseen Realm

I’ve been intrigued by reading Elizabeth’s Posts on this subject. It seems pretty Biblically connected. But from what I’ve read other places I’m not sure the timelines of the Tribulation and the 1,000 year period are actual this simple. The Bible says the living and the dead will surely be caught up to heaven, but I think the old Protestant view doesn’t prevent them from being in the Tribulation (terrible time) and most of them were Amillennial.

From AI we read:

Amillennialism is a Christian eschatological viewpoint that holds there will be no literal, earthly millennial reign of Christ on Earth.

Key Points of Amillennialism:

  • No Literal Millennium: Amillennialism rejects the idea of a future thousand-year period of peace and righteousness on Earth.
  • Symbolic “Thousand Years”: Amillennialists interpret the “thousand years” mentioned in Revelation 20:1-6 as symbolic.
  • Christ’s Current Reign: They believe that Christ’s reign is spiritual in nature and is occurring now during the current church age.
  • Second Coming and Final Judgment: Amillennialism holds that at the end of the church age, Christ will return in final judgment and establish a permanent reign in the “new heaven and new Earth”.

In summary, amillennialism is the belief that there will not be a literal millennium, but rather a spiritual reign of Christ now during the church age.

With that aside it’s worth more study and difficult reading. It may make Christian’s happy to think they will ultimately get out of the Tribulation, but that may be man’s thinking and not God’s plan.

My study in Ephesians speaks of this unseen realm….

Eph 1:21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Eph 3:10  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So it’s a good area to reflect upon and study, but lets not dwell on Satan.
