Listening to a Sermon by a pastor of someone we know yesterday when a question arose after his sermon went on to strongly advocate for accountability groups. The question was does the Bible really advocate being in a men's or women's accountability group. Reflecting on what I recalled of scripture I mentioned I didn't really… Continue reading James 5 – Accountability Groups?

What is Truth?
Good thoughts. Earlier Jesus said much the same.... Joh 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Joh 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. Joh 6:39 And… Continue reading What is Truth?
God Will Judge the Ungodly
Thanks Mike.
Love this line…
“ We have no idea who the unregenerate elect are. We must get the gospel to everyone so God will use its general call to strive with the hearts of those elect who have yet to believe. When ungodly people attack us, make fun of us, ridicule us or simply ignore us we must not become discouraged. We must pray for them and give the gospel to them as we obey our Lord.”
Also I must admit having read PP part 1 many times, I have yet to work through part 2.
As for the elect they can only cry and wait…
Revelation 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Ayin.
121 I have done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be surety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the arrogant oppress me.
123 My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation
And for Your righteous word.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your lovingkindness
And teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant; give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time for the Lord to act,
For they have broken Your law.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments
Above gold, yes, above fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem right all Your precepts concerning everything,
I hate every false way. Psalms 119:121-128 (NASB)
There are times I deeply desire for God to hurry up and bring judgment upon the wicked people in this world. I love the Lord. I live for His glory…

The Cost of Following Jesus
A good message on the narrow way.
Old John Bunyan speaks to this in various chapters of Pilgrims Progress and also in his short work….The Strait Gate,
or, Great difficulty of going to heaven.

Published twelve years before John Bunyan died in 1688.

62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 (NASB)
One of the most tragic aspects of the growing apostasy of the Church, with its roots in Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagianism, is the viewing of salvation as “easy” or something that can be planned or manipulated by men. Along with this, those who are its proponents must necessarily view God as somewhat less than Sovereign. They also do not teach that those who come to Jesus must necessarily become subject to Christ as their Lord. What did Jesus say about this?
