Genesis 41:41 – Verse of the Day

Gen 41:37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
Gen 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
Gen 41:39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Gen 41:40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.
Gen 41:41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Just a bit curious, how quickly it seems the interpretation of Joseph was accepted by Pharaoh?

Certainly this was part of God’ sovereign plan and perhaps Joseph had an authoritative prescence.
Other than the Butler’s story, I can’t tell why he would be believed from the text. Most likely God had openned Pharaoh’s heart to his Word, just like 400 years later he would harden another’s heart.

Exodus 9:12  And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
