Exodus 27:1 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.
Exodus 28:1 And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.
These two chapters contain very much detail in the description of making these.
Two thoughts come to mind….
Never is this much detail provided about the false altars to false gods, nor about the false prophets(priests) themselves.
Read an interesting post this morning about one false idea that has been making its way into the church today:
Yoga is NOT for the Christian.
Careful in reading it as it does explain in some detail what is wrong with Yoga.
It’s also true that in the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox that they revived the many details of the Priestly Garments, we read about in character 28. 1Pe 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
1Pe 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
