John 3:16 – This is one of the most familiar Bible verses

As you listen to Max Read this chapter, perhaps reflect upon this verse….

John 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Notice the way the chapter begins….

Joh 3:1  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Joh 3:2  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Sets up an amazing perspective…

And asfor our famous Title verse:

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It might be best understood by also paying attention to these verses…

John 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh 3:35  The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Joh 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

We will see this again in Chapter 6.

John 6:47  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
