Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Mar 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luk 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
2Pe 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
I just love the directness of these passages, which document the explicit audible word of God which the disciples hear.
Well it’s the second week of February and I’ve been struggling with keeping up with my Ten Lists Bible Reading. I’m not surprised as in prior years I only could finish about 2/3rds of the program. Anyway that is happening again. I should be now well into the 40’s of days of reading, but I am still back on day 37. And that only because last week I did a major catchup.
So I’ve decide to first just listen to the 10 chapters reading on Biblegateway.com, I still find Max McLean’s reading (although I hear it is actually his acting voice) read it. I do think he reads the KJV well. It is a bit awkward as I have to queue each chapter to the audio individual. so I can’t use continuous play mode.
And finally I have given up on keeping up. My plan now is just read whatever the next 10 unread chapters are each time I get to it. With this plan hopefully by the end of the week, I will pass 400 total chapters…not bad and almost 1/3rd of the whole Bible. So even behind I am still quite far ahead.
