Mike, Spurgeon definitely has the perspective. Times now still fall far short of those of Isaiah, who covers the whole fall of Israel, Samaria and eventual sadly Judah. But his book is so full of God’s promise too.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
