Mike Ratliff makes a lot of points in this post. It’s worth reading closely.
Btw there is nothing new about the issues we deal with today. Here is another warning by Paul to add to Peter’s.
Act 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
I am convinced that many of God’s elect are in bad churches or are sitting at the feet of heretics. We must pray that God will draw them away from this. We must also become dedicated to teaching and preaching the simple gospel found in the Word of God. All people are born dead in their trespasses and sins. God’s wrath burns against all sin. All who die in their sins will spend eternity in Hell separate from God. Jesus Christ died on the cross as the substitute in place of God’s elect. God poured out His wrath on Him. As a result all whom the Father draws and gives to the Son will be saved, as they are Born Again, look upon Christ on the cross, believe and repent. At this moment God declares them Righteous as He imputes Jesus’ own righteousness to their account. They are now part of the family of God because He adopts them. They will spend the rest of their lives in the being sanctified, cleansed, being made ready for glorification in Heaven. Let’s preach this gospel!
