This was a new one. In the article many others I frequently encounter at just mentioned. I do think historically we are attracted to many “false” Ways.
I’ve recognized many, probably all of the list Marsha West writes about. But the ideas of the mid, Ultra/Hyper and Acts 28 dispensations have not really been in my radar. This is a few years old. I also agree about the so called Watchman, and False Prophets. The Good and the Bad and I guess the Ugly on YouTube.
Anyway it makes an interesting discussion. I probably follow too much of this side of the faith sphere. And don’t have any effective witness in Truth and Love into most of the more common movements of faith. Perhaps the hardest is the ability to speak to those drawn to Roman Catholicism, which is by far the largest one and is quite popular again in our post-reformation world. Probably that’s a task best left to those who grew up with and came out of the sphere.
Anyway whether one studies, early Gnosticism, reads Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, or J.A. Wylie’s Massive History of Protestantism, or just sees so many options for Today’s Ways of Faith your can see that there is nothing really new in the history of false paths…

I’ll close with a warning of my own, that may surprise you: Patty(not real name) once told me that she came out of the New Apostolic Reformation. What saddened me to learn was that she fled from the NAR cult, only to embrace an equally egregious cult, hyper-dispensationalism.
