Great blog posts, perhaps read some..
Start here with some of the latest insights.
The Watchman’s Bagpipes
Thoughts from the Christian perspective: discernment issues as they relate to the current state of the church and society. Glenn Chatfield has a good list of links this week, I have not read them all, but the one I’ve read were good insights and perspectives. I don’t agree with everything Glenn blogs about, but he remains a good resource.

Good, Bad, and Ugly
Another good series of weekly reviews comes from Erin Benzinger.
Here are links to a young Christian woman, you might check out her posts.
About Erin
I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a career woman. Greater than all of these things is that I am a sinner who, by God’s great grace and mercy, has been brought to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2015, I obtained my graduate degree in Biblical Studies at The Master’s University and, in light of the dearth of doctrinally sound resources available to women, have a great zeal to see women equipped with the truth of God’s Word. As part of that pursuit, God has been gracious to grant me the opportunity to serve my sisters in Christ through Equipping Eve and its sister blog, Do Not Be Surprised. I am continually grateful to the Lord for choosing to lift me out of my own self-deception. My daily prayer is that God would strengthen me to pursue His kingdom and His righteousness so that Christ alone may be exalted.

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10)

Socialism and Secular Humanism
Previously I answered the question “Are there Prophets today?” and concluded no. Today I answer a good follow-up question:
“If the claimed revelation/vision is not taken as authoritative or infallible, but just meant for encouragement, then what harm is there in that?”
While it is true that most cautious continuationists (e.g. Wayne Grudem) would agree that the claims of prophecy today are not authoritative or infallible in the way biblical revelation is, there is still harm in having this type of practice in churches

“Mindfulness Meditation in Public Schools: Side-Stepping Supreme Court Religion Rulings”
October 4, 2018 by Miscellaneous News Source
The article below is a few years old, but it’s worth reading in light of the fast-growing move to get mindfulness meditation into ALL public schools in America. The headline, “Mindfulness Meditation in Public Schools: Side-Stepping Supreme Court Religion Rulings” certainly drew our attention when a reader recently sent it our way, partly because the source is Huffington Post, a highly popular liberal mainstream online media source, a source we would not expect to carry an article refuting allowing mindfulness meditation in public schools.

The Gospel requires that you and I actually talk about sin, hell, repentance and the fact that only Jesus provides salvation from God’s wrath. We can dig wells, help children with disabilities and run food pantries all we want, but unless we accompany those activities with a clear proclamation of the Gospel, people will see no difference between us and members of the Elks club. And they’ll be looking at us, not at the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since it is imperative for our conscience to be bound to the Word of God, then the necessity of regularly sitting under a teacher who rightly divides the Word of truth becomes absolute. This is why we must stand firm against those wolves in sheep’s clothing seeking to do away with the study of doctrine and the preaching of the Gospel in our churches.
When the Gospel is preached correctly, it divides

If you’re hosting a women’s Bible study, you do not have to use books and DVDs written by someone else. In fact, I would recommend against doing so. Get someone who is able to teach – yes, it could even be a man – and study a book of the Bible from beginning to end.

This one will likely give pause to some. But I would say it reflects the tip of the iceberg.
Maybe at least read to begin the dialogue.
SUMMARY: People with sound doctrine don’t tend to support uniting with and promoting word of faith and prosperity gospel heretical teaching. You simply can not trust the doctrine, theology, and teaching of someone who promotes and partners with heretical false teachers. There are much better sources to get your teaching from than Beth Moore. You don’t need to be a cessationist to have problems with Beth Moore.
Why do people “hate” Beth Moore? What’s the problem with Beth Moore?

Act 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Act 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
