Another Tough Message in This Morning Study….

I’m wondering if anyone would actually agree about this…

It’s becoming harder and harder to have a heart to pass on hard messages….it also will be interesting to see it what Todd mentions does come about, and the word Heretic gets repointed at the true Reformed Church. Not just by Mormon’s, but other “faith” traditions, and the broader culture. If you check the list of Martyrs in the history of the church you might see this.

Todd is one of the fellows I have followed  for years, he posted this summary video recently.  I’ve been aware of the Mormon emphasis the last few years, via Glenn Beck and others…It’s still a tiny “church”, except in Utah, and maybe places like Tonga, or Fiji. But this is remarkably clear. It’s not the only false “church” that tries to gain roots in being the “original” or uncorrupted “church” or have the original concept of God , or Christ or the Holy Spirit. If we had a discussion, I could probably give you  a dozen or so examples…

The older I get the more I appreciate that Doctrine Matters, and more important it becomes to hold to the Biblical truths that our Protestant Reformers were able to articulate. Unfortunately it’s also true that everyone else is vying for the position of being equally if not even more correct in their doctrines and theology. It’s also true we rarely if ever actually study Biblical beyond the most basic concepts.

If one looks at it closely this creates a great deal of confusion, even Deception. But of courser in America lately this doesn’t matter.

I wrote earlier:It does seem people are seeking something. That’s a good thing, but what they find may not be so good after all.

Barna, veteran researcher and author of the study, pointed to a broader drift behind the numbers. “Americans meander through life with a broad assortment of vague religious beliefs and volatile religious behaviors. That religious amnesia has produced a nation where the dominant worldview—adopted by nine out of 10 adults—is Syncretism, not biblical Christianity.”

The study found that a majority of American adults rejected biblical teaching in answering 14 questions about humanity and the supernatural. In addition to a majority rejecting the biblical view of God and 90% holding Syncretism as their primary worldview, see other findings from the new AWVI 2026 report:

Btw….you might recognize that Islam is a much earlier form of many of the same aspects that Mormonism exhibits….

But the list doesn’t stop there.

Paul wrote:

Act 20:27  For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Act 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Act 20:29  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Act 20:30  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Act 20:31  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Act 20:32  And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
