2 Chronicles 18 – Two Kings and a Prophet!

This is an amazing story of Israel’s history. It’s like being a fly on the wall in the inner sanctuary, actually…a void place:

2 Chronicles 18:9  And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

And getting to hear all the inner conversations.

Also notice when Micaiah was put under arrest he make a statement which is necessary to confirm true prophets.

Deuteronomy 18:22  When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

2Ch 18:25  Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;

2Ch 18:26  And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.

2Ch 18:27  And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
