This is a perfect example of syncretism in the Church

If 90% of American adults have a Syncretistic Worldview vs a Biblical Worldview….. then one can understand how this is confused even within our wide spectrum of churches….given the diversity with the Visible Church one might raise the question about whether we ourselves worship the same God. I recently had someone on a podcast I heard, mention we should start with some basics like memorizing the Apostles’ Creed…..I put a copy below for my readers.

A few notes:

Quote from the Barna 2026 survey..

• Nine out of 10 American adults hold Syncretism (not Biblical Theism) as their dominant worldview.

“Americans meander through life with a broad assortment of vague religious beliefs and volatile religious behaviors. That religious amnesia has produced a nation where the dominant worldview— adopted by nine out of 10 adults—is Syncretism, not biblical Christianity. Dismissing the importance of biblical truth principles and a holy lifestyle has led to tens of millions of regular church attenders settling in as notional Christians—people who embrace the label and the idea of Christianity but refuse to study, meditate, work, and sacrifice in ways that cultivate genuine Christ-like lives.”

And from the Article above..

“In Romans 10:9-13, the Apostle Paul argues that we must believe and acknowledge that Jesus is YHWH to be saved, quoting Joel 2:32 (YHWH) and applying it to the Son. On the other hand, the “god” Allah of the Qur’an reveals himself as Unitarian – Allah has no partners and, most emphatically, has no Son!1 Christ is not God in Islam, but merely a human prophet who did not die on the cross for anyone’s sins. Islam rejects salvation through Christ’s atoning death and instead teaches a fundamentally different understanding of how a person is accepted by God—one involving a combination of faith, obedience, righteous deeds, and ultimately Allah’s judgment and mercy. Can any Christians take that position in good conscience?”

“The Holy See, led by the current Pope, is currently legitimizing Panentheism. So no, the Pope is not a reliable guide in matters of true Christian faith or doctrine.”
